Our journey began while we were busy working on medical devices at the University of Oxford. We quickly found ourselves scratching our heads over all the regulations; they were really tricky to understand as academics! That's when a lightbulb went off: we realised we needed to help ourselves and other researchers navigate this complex regulatory world.

That big idea led to RegMetrics, funded by EPSRC, EIT Health, and Innovate UK. We created this software to be super easy to use, especially for those first, crucial steps. It helps you answer big questions like: Is my device actually a medical device? What category does it fall into? Which rules do I really need to follow? And where can I find the right places to get it tested?

It's been incredibly rewarding to help so many academics on their regulatory paths. We do this not just with our RegMetrics software, but also through our direct consultancy and our helpful training courses. We love making things clearer and simpler for you!
